Ingredients

  • 1 Egg yolk (for brushing)
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 320 g Flour
  • 200 g Milram Cottage Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

Preparation Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180º.
  2. In a bowl, add the cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla essence and mix everything very well.
  3. In a separate bowl, add the baking soda and vinegar. Stir. Then add to the previous mixture.
  4. Add the flour and yeast to the mixture until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Sprinkle an area with flour and divide the dough into similar portions.
  6. Form balls with the pieces of dough and place them on a tray.
  7. Brush the scones with the egg yolk.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes at 180º.

Enjoy with a red fruit tea.

Suggestion: Spread the scones with butter, cheese and/or jam.
